Newly elected BDC chairpersons take oath

JAMMU, Oct 31: The newly elected Block Development Chairpersons were today administered oath of office across the districts of Jammu Division.
The Department of Rural Development Jammu organised the oath ceremony of newly elected Chairmen of Block Development Council of Jammu district here at Panchayat Bhawan.
Jammu: The oath ceremony in Jammu was held in presence of Director Rural Development Jammu Sudershan Kumar. The District Panchayat officer Sunaina Saini administrated oath to newly elected Chairpersons of 20 blocks.
Doda: The oath to chairpersons of 17 Block of Development Councils of Doda district was administered by DPO Mohammad Idrees Lone in the presence of District Development Commissioner Dr Sagar D Doifode and SSP Mumtaz Hussain.
The ADC Bhaderwah, ACD Doda, BDOs and huge gathering of Sarpanchs and panchs were also present at the oath ceremony.
Ramban: The newly-elected Chairpersons of Block Development Councils (BDC) of district Ramban were administered oath of office by District Panchyat Officer (DPO), Sunil Bhutyal.
The oath was administered to chairpersons of 11 BDCs of district at a simple but impressive function. District Development Commissioner Nazim Zai Khan, SSP, Anita Sharma and SSP Traffic JS Johar, besides Panchs Sarpanchs and functionaries of district administration were present on the occasion.
Samba: The newly elected chairpersons of 9 block development councils were administered Oath in presence of Assistant Commissioner Development Samba, Sidarath Dhiman.
Poonch: The Oath ceremony was also held for the newly elected BDC Chairpersons of 11 Blocks of District Poonch.
The oath was administered by DPO Mukhlis Ali.
Kathua: Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj organized oath ceremony for the newly elected chairpersons of Block Development Councils (BDC) of Kathua district where DDC, O P Bhagat was the chief guest.
Rajouri: Nineteen newly elected chairpersons to the block development councils of Rajouri district took oath at a grand swearing-in ceremony organised by the Rural Development Department at Dakbunglow Rajouri. The oath was administered by District Panchayat officer, Dr.Abdul Khabir in presence of District Development Commissioner Mohammad Aijaz Asad.
Udhampur: A total 17 newly elected Block Development Council chairpersons of District Udhampur took oath of office in a ceremony organized by District Administration Udhampur under the chairmanship of District Panchayat Election Officer, Dr. Piyush Singla.
The oath was administered by District Panchayat Officer Mushtaq Choudhary. Other district Officers also witnessed the oath ceremony.
Kishtwar: The Oath ceremony for the 13 newly elected BDC chairpersons of District Kishtwar was organized by District Administration Kishtwar in collaboration with the Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj.
The oath was administered by DPO, Anil Kumar Chandail.
Reasi: The BDC Chairpersons of 12 blocks of Reasi district took oath of office in presence of Deputy Commissioner, Indu Kanwal Chib; SSP Reasi, Rashmi Wazir; Assistant Commissioner Development, Sunil Sharma; District Panchayat Officer, Parvinder Kour and other elected members of Panchayati Raj Institutions and Reasi Municipal Committee.
The chairpersons administered oath of office included 5 women.
