| DPS Nagbani organizes Inter House Volley Ball Matches | | |

Jammu, Oct 31: To encourage physical fitness and team spirit among the students, Delhi Public School, Nagbani, Jammu-(West) organised an Inter House Volley Ball match for the senior students to have an access to sports and games for the all round personality development.
The students from classes 6th to 10th from different Houses participated in it enthusiastically. All the students looked very determined and excited about the competition. The importance of sports and games in school encompasses more than just the benefits of physical activity; it increases in self-esteem and mental alertness. The school has a well defined games programme and the faculty also. Under the able guidance of the sports teachers, the matches were played very efficiently. Jhelum House declared overall the winner of the matches.
The Tournament was declared open by the Principal of the school R. K. Verma who was the chief guest on the occasion. While addressing the players he asked the students to take part in more and more sports activities so that they will remain physically fit to adjust in every corner of modern life style. He also appreciated the efforts of the sports teachers for organizing regular sports activities in the school. |
