Seminar organized to mark 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji

Jammu, Nov 3: Parbandhak Committee Gurudwara Sahib Lower Gadigarh, Jammu (South) held a 'Sarva Dharam Seminar' on the contributions and teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji towards the humanity as a whole and to augment the universal brotherhood amongst all religions. The religious seminar was organized in view of the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev ji which is being celebrated right across the whole world. A huge number of devotees are expected to visit the birth place of Guru ji at Nankana Sahib and Kartarpur Sahib Gurudwara (guru ji's last resting place and which will be also thrown open to devotees on 9th Nov 2019).
Intellectuals from Islam, Sanatan and Christianity religions were also invited to participate in the theological discourses on the life sketch of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. All the present speakers from different faiths enlightened the sangat (congregation) and the general public about the universal contribution and teachings of the Guru. The speakers effectively emphasized Guru Ji's universal message of brotherhood - "Na Hum Hindu, Na Musalman. Allah Ram Kay Pind Praan."
With an aim to promote peace and harmony in society, Parbandhak Committee Gurudwara Sahib Lower Gadigarh, Jammu (South) held this 'Sarva Dharam Seminar' which is also the need of the hour. TS Wazir, Chairman SGPB J&K presided over this religious seminar. Others who were present included Dr Arvinder Singh, Addl Secretary JKAACL, Jammu; Prof (Dr) Vinay Gupta, Jammu Central University; Rita Yousuf, Retd Announcer AIR, Jammu; Sohail Kazmi, Editor-in-Chief Taskeen (Daily Urdu Newspaper); Narinder Singh, Principal (Retd), President DGPC Poonch Manmohan Singh and Master Zorawar Singh.
