APS Kaluchak organizes 'English Theatre Play 2019'

Jammu, Nov 5: APS Kaluchak organized Jammu Cluster Rolling Trophy - English Theatre Play 2019 from 23 October to 25 October 2019 in its premises . Seven schools as Army Public School Jammu Cantonment, Army Public School Kaluchak, Army Public School Miran Sahib, Army Public School Damana, Army Public School B.D.Bari and Army Public School Sunjwan participated in the same.
The participant schools presented plays with thought provoking messages. The themes of the plays ranged from Fairy Tale , Panchtantra story , Mythological play, Environmental issues ,Patriotic for Category I (III - V) to Forgiveness and revenge, Cyber Crime, Plight of elderly, Breaking the shackles of patriarchy, Scourge of child labour for Category II ( VI - VIII) and Shakespearean Plays for Category III ( IX -XII). The plays were judged on the basis of poise , use of space ,dramatic techniques, delivery, expressive aspects, characterization and costuming. APS Kaluchak stole the show and bagged the winners trophy in Category I while APS BD Bari claimed runners up trophy. APS Kaluchak made their Alma Mater proud by clinching the winners trophy in Category II. APS Miran Sahib bagged the runners- up trophy. Registering yet another triumph APS Kaluchak emerged as the winner in Category III. Closely following its heel was APS Jammu Cantt who stood second. The students were also felicitated by the judges under Best costumes, Best Male and Female Actors Categories for their stellar performances. The Chief Guest, Brig RK Prusty, Chairman APS Kaluchak emphasized that through exploring drama one's English learning experience is enriched and language abilities enhanced. He also commended the spectacular show put up by the students which was the upshot of the myriad hours of rehearsal and hardwork.
