Early Times Report

JAMMU, Nov 5: Terming the issues of divesting of registration powers of documents from Judicial Officers (JOs) and shifting of High Court from Janipur to Raika-Bahu forest area an ill-conceived project, Former Minister Mula Ram said that the aforesaid move of government will only promote corruption and nepotism in the newly formed J&K UT. Addressing a meeting of party workers organized by DCC President, Hari Singh Chib at Raipur Domana constituency, the former Minister said that shifting of High Court Complex from Janipur Jammu to Raika is not in public interest. He said on one hand government is promoting green culture and on the other hand more than 30, 000 trees are to be cut which will directly affect the health of citizens of Jammu. He asserted that if this project is completed, the Raika-Bahu forest and wild life sanctuary forest which are the lungs and lifeline of Jammu city, will turn into a gas chamber equal to New Delhi in its pollution level. Speaking in the meeting, Hari Singh Chib emphasized that the orders should be rescinded immediately and are not allowed to pass-on to the Union Territory administration causing public ire, unrest and unnecessary law and order problem for the newly formed Union Territory.
