Katra, Nov 5: Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), Katra organised a CEO Dialogue meet on "Financial Empowerment through Financial Planning & Education" in association with Aditya Birla Sun Life AMC Ltd. and the association of the mutual fund industries.
A. Bala Subramanium, MD & CEO of Aditya Birla Sun Life AMC Ltd. along with team of officers and representatives from AMFI conducted various sessions on the theme of the meet for the students of SMVDU.
Padam Shri, Prof. (Dr.) R.K Sinha, Vice Chancellor, SMVDU, addressed the audience and highlighted the basic characteristic of Indian culture - a tendency for saving which led India remained unaffected during worldwide recession in 2008. He mentioned the example of "Gullak" and "Piggy Bank" culture prevailing in our society. Other prominent speakers of function were: Prof. (Dr.) D. Mukhopadhyay; Suryakant Sharma; K.S. Rao; Lalit Sharma. B.K Bhatia, TPO, SMVDU, extended an invitation to the companies for the campus recruitment of MBA & M.Sc. Economics students. Dr. Hari Govind Mishra, Associate Professor SoB& Coordinator of the programme, proposed a vote of thanks. He also spoke on the "Newer Market Idea" which is evolving very fast. Lastly, the students coordinators, namely Sagar, Divya, Tushita, Anish, Suraj,Purva, Abhinandan, Sandeep, Vitesta worked round the clock for the success of the event. |
