How to interrupt negative thoughts
11/5/2019 10:56:01 PM

Diksha Dogra

It's quite natural we all get negative thoughts. It usually happens when we think something like - I need this phone, I need this shoes, that job etc. etc. but fail to get that and when we continuously get fail in getting something, some wishes we start getting negative thoughts like I cannot get this phone as I don't have money so I can never get that, I fail in exam, I will never get this degree, I didn't pass my interview, I can never get new job.
These negative thoughts are very powerful. They won't go away from our mind easily. We need to keep pushing them with our positive thoughts regularly. If we realized how powerful our thoughts are, we would never think a negative thought. It's not like that once in a day we think positive, once in a week we think positive. In order to grow a plant we need to give water to it regularly, if we will stop giving water, it will not grow. In the same way to be positive, we need to think positive all the time. It's not easy but it's not impossible. You need to make your positive side, your positive thoughts so powerful by pushing yourself towards positive thinking every second. To have a happy life, every second matters.
Whenever you get any negative thought, interrupt it then and there. Self-interruption is very important. Nobody is going to do this for you. It's you and only you.
So interrupt your negative thoughts, don't let negativity destroy your life. Replace you Can't and Never with I Can and I will.
Story: There was a monkey who was very hungry. He came to know that in a small hole, there are chanas.
He went there but that hole was very small. He can only get his hand inside but to get those chanas he has to close his hand so he got stuck there. When he was struggling to get his hand out of that hole, he started getting negative thoughts because he was getting fail continuously. He was only one decision away from his freedom but he didn't realize it because his mind was fully occupied by negativity.
Our positive can bring all the ideas that can make our life a happy place to live in. It will take time but we can surely do this. Make it a habit and start saying I can do this, I can get this.. because whatever our mind can conceive, it can achieve. Feed your mind with positive statements. Be patient. It's not going to happen overnight but trust the process. Live life, love life. Stay positive.
