DDC Kathua holds preparatory meet for 2nd Phase of B2V programme

Kathua, Nov 20: District Development Commissioner, O P Bhagat, today chaired a preparatory meeting with district and sectoral officers to discuss the preparations and arrangements being made to conduct the 2nd Phase of Back to Village (B2V) Programme commencing from 25th of this month in the district.
All the guidelines regarding B2V2 programme were shared by the DDC among the line departments and were also discussed threadbare. The DDC also urged the district officers to sensitize the frontline field functionaries to make the programme a grand success in the district. He said the activities, carried out by the departments during the programme should be implemented with utmost commitment for public welfare.
The officers were further apprised about the issues which are to be enlisted for visiting officers including the works which were identified during B2V1, languishing projects, Central sponsored schemes pertaining to different departments and projects executed by the departments from June to October 2019 other than those recommended under B2V1.
Similarly, departments like Social Welfare, ICDS, Handicrafts & Handloom, Youth Services & Sports, Horticulture, Agriculture and others were directed to conduct their community-benefit activities in parallel to the programme besides they will also conduct awareness programmes in the panchayats to guide the people about various welfare schemes of the government.
The meeting was attended by ADC Kathua, Ghanshyam Singh, CPO, Uttam Singh, ACD, Sukhpal Singh, ACR, Devinder Paul, Dy. Director Employment, D C Bhatti, Executive Engineers of various engineering wings and other concerned officers.
