GCW Parade organises Extension Lecture

Jammu, Nov 23: The Department of Political Science, Government College for Women Parade, Jammu organized Extension Lecture on the topic "Sustainable Cities and Communities.
The Lecture was delivered by prominent Gandhian and Padam Shri Awardee S.P Verma. The Principal of the college (Dr.) Prof. Chander Shekhar Gupta welcomed S.P Verma and he appreciated the Zeal and Commitment of S.P Verma for this Nobel Cause which is directly link with the survival of mankind.
He also requested that this kind of activity is very important because the students will further spread this message in the society.
In his lecture S.P Verma highlighted the importance of sustainable cities and community and he discussed various issues related with sustainable cities and the problems which are being faced by the communities in India in particular and in the world in general particularly in Asia and pacific region.
He highlighted the various threats which are being faced by the modern communities in the cities; they are like ecological and environmental degradation, dirt, filth, congestion, population explosion, deforestation etc.
He also interacted with the students and also asked so many questions with sustainable development goals of United Nations Organization. He also distributed material related with urination sustainable goals in the shape of prizes to the students.
