Early Times Report
samba, Nov 23: The slackness on the part of Rural Development Department Samba can be gauged from fact that it has not uploaded the information about newly carved out panchayats on its official website putting panchayat representatives in difficulty.
Sources told Early Times that the representatives of various panchayats of Vijaypur and Ramgarh areas alleged that they have not received funds under various schemes the concerned department due to which the development pace has come to halt.
"We are being deprived off fund under MGNREGA, 14 FC, PDF etc. ever since the panchayats have to come into existence. Government has been starting Back to Village (B2V) -II programme in this month whereas our problems, issues which were discussed Back to Village-I were yet to be resolved," said Sarpanch Baldev Raj while talking to Early Times.
He further said that he had lodged complaint in this connection before higher authority as well as before the incharge officer B2V Dy. Director Tourism Anusuya Jamwal but no action has been taken till date. "B2V programme is meaningless unless their issues are not solved on priority. We appeal to LG JK UT to issue the orders for uploading the information on newly established panchayats on the portal before start of B2V-II programme, said Baldev Raj.
