BVP Jammu East Branch, Institution of Engineers conduct Bharat ko Jano Quiz competition

Jammu, Nov 23: BV P Jammu East Branch in collaboration with Institution of Engineers( India) today conducted Bharat Ko Jano Quiz Competition at Institution of Engineers(India) Local centre,Jammu.
On this occasion, Sh. Chander Mohan Gupta, Mayor, Jammu Muncipal Corporator was the Chief Guest whereas Smt Neena Gupta, corporator, Ward No. 50, JMC was Guest of honour.
Program was presided over by Sh. S.K Wadhwa, National Vice President and Sushil Sharma, National Secretary was observer, Sh. Arun Sharma, Regional Secretary, Sanskars and Er. C.P Sharma, honorary Secretary who was special invitee were also present in the quiz competition.The program commenced with lightening of Traditional lamp followed by Vande Mataram. Sh. T.C Taggar started the proceeds of the program and Amita Sharma welcomed the dignitaries and audience.
The quiz competition comprising qualifying rounds in Junior and Senior categories was conducted as per rules and regulations of the competition at par with other States. 16 teams in Junior category as well as Senior category participated but seven teams in each category were qualified for Final competition. The competition jointly conducted by Jyotsna Sharma and Er. Gopal Sharma was neck to neck. and two positions were decided in tie breaker in both the categories of the competition.
In Junior category, Maharshi Vidya Mandir, Sainik Colony bagged 1st position where as 2nd and 3rd positions were settled on a narrow margin in the favour of JK Public School, Kunjwani & Cooperative Public School, Trikuta Nagar.
In another competition in Senior category JK Public School,Kunjwani got 1st position followed by New ERA & Sai Shyam Public School which got 2nd & 3rd positions resp.
Chander Mohan Gupta praised Bharat Vikas parishad for involving youth through such competitions for overall development of the children and also appreciated the role of the organization in developing sanskars among children. Neena Gupta, Corporator also appreciated BVP and it's other objectives.
S.K Wadhwa who presided over the function gave titbits to children for success in their life and also laid thrust on need to protect Indian culture, civilization and heritage. Prominent among others who were also present on this occasion were S.N Sharma, V.P Gupta, Vijay Sharma, Madhu Gupta, Vanita Kohli, Bhupal Datta, Yuvraj Gupta, Bharat Bhushan Sharma, Gopal Gupta and many others from various branches of BVP. Besides, number of teachers from various schools, children from host school, citizens from all walks of life witnessed this competition. The program concluded with National Anthem. Vote of thanks was owed by Arun Sharma.
Jyotsna Sharma and Er. Gopal Sharma jointly conducted the quiz with the sole cooperation of Institution of engineers.
