Jammu, Nov 26: Swachh Bharat Team of Jammu Municipal Corporation taken out a March from Indira Chowk to General Bus stand.
The objective of the rally was too aware to people against Single Use Plastic bags/bottles.
On the way several hawkers were given instructions to use bio-degradable bags for sale of items.
People supported the noble cause to vanish plastic from Jammu.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairman, Swachh Bharat Committee Suraj Parkash Padha said that plastic should be donated to the goods being constructed by National Highway Authority of India for the construction of National Highway from Jammu to Srinagar and from Jammu to Akhnoor.
Expert SWM, Master Trainer Jorawar Singh spoke at the bus stand that all should prepare home compost of solid waste and collect plastic in their home for further utility in construction of roads.
Speaking on the occasion, Councillors Hardeep Mankotia, Jyoti Devi, Sandhya Gupta, Gopal Gupta, Rachpal Bhardwaj, S. Inder Singh Sudan determined to bring Jammu in 10 cleanest cities of India. They were dedicated to achieve the objective soon as possible. A Nukad Natak was displayed at Busstand which was showing Jammu is against Single Use Plastc bags/bottle. The other members of JMC Ashwani, Ved Pal, Romit Kumar, Teacher attend the function and raised slogan to clean Jammu and go Green Jammu. |
