| ACB produces charge sheet against former ACR Budgam | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 26: ACB produced charge-sheet in Case FIR No. 30/2015 Police Station Vigilance Organization Kashmir (Now ACB Kashmir) against the then ACR Budgam R.K. Bhat and beneficiary Mian Mohammad Mujtaba in the Court of Special Judge Anti-corruption Srinagar. The instant case was registered on the outcome of an enquiry, which revealed that the officers and officials of Revenue Department of District Budgam by abuse and misuse of their official position as public servants conferred undue pecuniary benefit upon the illegal occupants of state land by arbitrarily fixing the price of land i.e. lower than the prevailing market rate of the area, incorrect application of rates and unauthorized change of classification of land from residential to agricultural etc. The investigation conducted and the evidence collected revealed that the then Assistant Commissioner Revenue Budgam and the beneficiary have deliberately, fraudulently and with criminal intention committed the offences U/S, 5(1) d, r/w 5(2) J&K P.C. Act, 120/B RPC. After completion of investigation Government was moved for sanction by ACB. Sanction of prosecution was granted by Government for launching prosecution against Government Servant.
