| Aradhana-NGO sets up Sport's Room | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 26: Aradhana- A Ray Of Hope is a Jammu based NGO that has been working to provide basic education & necessities to the underprivileged and poverty- stricken children of Jammu. Aiming for the overall development of these children, AAROH has taken an initiative to provide the necessities related to Sports & health in Government Schools. Continuing their chain of working towards the upgradation project in Govt. Schools, the members of the NGO established a sports room in Govt. Girls Middle School, Village named Kahog in Billawar town (110 KMs away from Jammu). This sports room is equipped with all the indoor and outdoor games for the students. The members of this organisation also taught the students new games and conducted sports activities in the school.
Additionally, a Menstrual Hygiene Workshop was conducted for 35 girls of this school to give education to them regarding the management of menstruation cycle in a hygienic way, how to prepare for menstrual periods, nutritional care needed and basic exercises that can provide relief to manage the pain.
Volunteers taught them the significant importance of sanitary kits over cloth and also gave them education regarding the myths and psychology in periods.
After that Sanitary kits were distributed to the young needy girls who can't afford. |
