Two HM militants killed in encounter with security forces in Pulwama

Pulwama, Nov 26: Two Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) militants were killed in a encounter with security forces at Drabgam area of South Kashmir's Pulwama district, police said. Among the militant killed in the encounter include one district commander.
The militants killed in the encounter were identified were Irfan Ahmed Sheikh and Irfan Ahmed Rather. Both the militants killed are locals.
The encounter had begun on Monday evening when two militants did not stopped at the check point laid by the security forces.
A top police official while sharing the details said, "On Monday evening, when a Naka was laid by the security forces based on a specific input about the presence of militants. And during the Naka, a load carrier was asked to stop, but they avoided the signal and instead starting firing on security forces".
He added, "In exchange of fire, both the militants who were affiliated with Hizbul Mujahideen were killed. Whereas the gunfight lasted for only for five minutes".
A police spokesman in a statement issued here said that the militants were identified as Irfan Ahmed Sheikh of Naira, Tahab and another one as Irfan Ahmed Rather of Litter, Pulwama. "The militants were affiliated with the Hizbul Mujahideen outfit," the spokesman added.
