Kathua, Nov 28: In view of the 550th Parkash Purab of Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji, Chief Education Officer Kathua organized a symposium and quiz contests on the life history and preaching of Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji.
The quiz competition was organized in the premises of Govt. HSS Boys Kathua wherein Principal Sanjeev Vaid provided adequate infrastructure to make the event more successful in its row.
Students from HSS Kharote, HSS Kerian, HS Hote, HSS Girls Kathua, HSS Boys Kathua, HSS nagri, HSS Jakhwar, Spring Dales, Kartar Public School took active part enthusiastically. Students from HSS Nagri stood first, HS Hote second and HSS Boys succeed to secure third position in which question based on Guru Nanak dev ji were asked.
While speaking on the function CEO Kathua Thoru Ram, urged students to follow teachings of Guru Nanak Dev ji who was against social discrimination, superstition, female feticides and corruption.
In similar programme, a symposium contest was also organized in the keen observation of CEO Kathua. Students from many government and private school participated with religious fervor. Student from Spring dales school stood first, Kartar Public School second and student from HSS Nagri succeed to secure third position. Participation certificate and refreshment were also distributed by organizers in the end. |
