Jammu, Dec 16: Shishu Mandir Public High School, Rani Talab, Digiana celebrated its Annual Day cum Prize Distribution function at Abinav Theatre, Jammu with great zeal and zest. A galaxy of dignitaries of the area along with the Principal of leading school of Jammu and Kashmir were present on this occasion. Hem Raj Pakhroo (Joint Director School, Directorate of School Education graced the occasion as the chief guest while S. Manmohan Singh Khalsa, S. Joginde Singh Pandhi, Kamal Gupta, S. Avtar Singh Khalsa and Ram Murti Sharma were the guest; of honour and were the special guest who presided over the function.
The programme commenced with the lightning of the ceremonial lamp by the chief guest in the presence of other dignitaries. This was followed by Shabad kirtan and welcome address by the Principal of the school S. Tezinder Singh. Principal of the institution S. Tezinder Singh presented the annual report and gave a brief description about the students, their achievements and future laws. Slide show highlighting the major achievements of curricular and co-curricular activities was shown. It was followed by Punjabi Bhangra and the melodious song to celebrate the existence of girls enthralling the entire audience.
The chief guest in his speech appreciate the school management for rendering valuable services to the people of the area by providing quality education to the students and enabling them to make successful career in various walks of life. The vote of thanks was presented by the principal of school and the programme culminated with National Anthem.
