Jammu, Dec 16: Doon International School Jammu celebrated its fifth Annual Day 'Tiranga 2019-20' projecting , an indomitable spirit of undying patriotism through an impressive extravaganza exhibited by the talented DABS of Doon International School in General Zorawar Singh auditorium.
Afaq Ahmed Giri(IRS), Deputy Director DRI Govt. Of India graced the occasion as the Chief Guest while Kiran Wattal Vice President Gymnastic Federation of India and Nirmal Mahana President Sahodaya Schools Complex Jammu Chapter were the Guests of Honour.
The auditorium lit up with excitement as the programme commenced with the traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the Chief Guest.
Dr Vikesh Kaur, Principal Doon International School Jammu formally welcomed the eminent dignitaries and rendered the annual report of the school highlighting the stupendous accomplishments of the students and the institution throughout the year 2019.
This was followed by the Academic and Endowment Awards facilitated by the Chief Guest Afaq Ahmed Giri (IRS). Speaking on the occasion Mr Giri said that the entire program was meticulously planned and executed by the entire team of DIS Jammu which showcased the commendable grandeur of the school.
Chairman G.N. Tantray, Principal Dr Vikesh Kaur and Vice Chairman M.A.Tantray applauded the exceptional endeavour of the entire staff and the stellar performances of the students for making the 5th Annual Day 'Tiranga 2019-20' a prodigious success. The Vote of Thanks was proposed by the Vice Principal Gurdeep Kaur. The program culminated with the soulful musical display of the national anthem. The whole event was coordinated by the Headmistress Sarita Moza Kaul, Chief Coordinators Rachana Khanna and Shivali Pathania.
