District Employment & Counselling Centre launches series of counselling sessions

JAMMU, Dec 17: The District Employment & Counselling Centre, Jammu launched a series of counselling sessions among the eligible youth desirous of better future prospects regarding Job avenues, Civil Services & Self Employment Schemes of different government departments.
The first session in this series was held today in which more than 100 educated unemployed candidates both male and female thronged in the office premises of District Employment & Counselling Centre.
Deputy Director Employment, Jammu Dr. Manisha Koul inaugurated today's session. She appreciated the participants for showing their keen interest in the session and congratulated the Department for taking initiative to organize such series of sessions.
She emphasized the need of extending the Counselling, & Career Guidance with the purpose of expanding the scope of incorporating contemporariness in whole process of Employment Generation & Awareness regarding Career Planning & Development.
CCO Mamta Sharma gave a PowerPoint Presentation and addressed about various career choices after Class 12th & Graduation. E0 Shivali Choudhary also presented PPT about the civil services exams. KAS topper Rupall Arora was among the main resource persons for the event who interacted with the youth and gave insights on how to crack prestigious competitive Exam. The counselling session included the conduct of psychometric test of the participants and analysis of their aptitude.
Statistical Officer of DE & CC, Jammu Sanjeev Gupta informed that similar Counselling & Career Guidance sessions are going to be held on 20th & 21't of December, 2019 in rural area of Marh Block for aspiring candidates of the area. He urged the youth to come in large number and take the benefits of government schemes.
