IDS London donates warm clothing to Nari Niketan, Bal Ashram

JAMMU, Dec 17: International Dogra Society (IDS), London, UK have made a difference to several lives today by humbly donating necessities for winter season to inhabitants of Bal Ashram and Nari Niketan, RS Pura, Jammu.
International Dogra Society, London is a group of selfless like-minded Dogras living in London. They aspire to promote Duggar culture and connect Dogras worldwide (abroad and back home). International Dogra Society aims to promote Dogra culture and identity at international platform and create visibility for Jammu and Dogras.
International Dogra Society had organized a fundraising event in London in November 2019 where Bollywood/Hollywood star Ali Fazal was the star attraction, to raise funds for donation in border area of Jammu.
Post the London event, Team of International Dogra Society, Vikrant Gupta, Director and Sana Gupta flew from London to Jammu to do the needful. The donation of necessities was graced by respected Rashpal Singh (Additional Inspector General Registration), Satpal Pappi (President Municipal Committee RS Pura), Ram Lal Sharma (SDM), Ajay Salaan (District Social Welfare Officer, Jammu), Sheema Qasba, (SDPO RS Pura) and other Team members of IDS including Rajesh Gupta, Dr Sham Lal Gupta, Sugam Bral, Dr Mahesh Koul.
The items required in winter season like sweaters, school shoes, warm socks, shawls for ladies, slippers, sanitary napkins etc were donated to the inhabitants of both Nari Niketan and Bal Ashram in border area of RS Pura. A goody bag with healthy eateries was also handed over to all the residents.
Vikrant Gupta, Director, International Dogra Society UK said, "This whole initiative by fellow Dogras is applaudable and appreciable who got together for a common cause and upliftment of Dogras. The local authorities and concerned management had been very encouraging and cooperative to make today's event a successful event."
