J&K bundled out for 209, Maharashtra 51/3 on day 1 stumps

Srinagar, Dec 17: Jammu and Kashmir bowlers came strongly on day 1 to restrict Maharashtra on 51 runs by taking three wickets. While as Jammu and Kashmir's team were bundled under the score of 209 runs.
Earlier Maharashtra won the toss and put Jammu and Kashmir to bat. J&K lost two wickets on the score of 11 runs in the shape of Suryansh Raina and Shubham Khajuria. Shubham Pundir was next to go on the score of 24.
Half of the Jammu and Kashmir team was bowled out on 42 runs with most of the batsmen out without scoring in double figures. Samad was bowled out for a golden duck. It was the Ahmed Banday who scored 76 runs and bowler Abid Mushtaq score half-century that kept the score board ticking. Ram Dayal also played its part by scoring 20 runs and Fazil wicket keeper was bowled out on 22 runs.
Mudhasir remained not out on 18 runs. As usual, batting failed with 6 players failing to score in double figures.
However, bowlers of Jammu and Kashmir came hard on Maharashtra batsmen. Ruturaj Gaikwad was first to go on the score of 31 runs on the score board. The wicket of Naushad Shaikh (c) and Ruturaj Gaikwad fell on the score of 51 runs in the last hour of the game.
Abid Mushtaq took two wickets and Umar Nazir took one wicket for Jammu and Kashmir team.
Earlier Jammu and Kashmir won the first game of the Ranji Match against Uttarakhand by the margin of 253 runs and secured 6 points with Ram Dayal performing all-rounder performance.
