| Tawi Trekkers suspends ongoing short treks due to weather conditions | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 25: With the conclusion of 4th group of RMPS School, Chowadi, Jammu comprising 131 students and 7 teachers and overall 10th group of Tawi Trekkers J&K for the ongoing Mansar-Mohore Garh Adventure Picnics (short treks) for the school children, the club has temporarily suspended the programme because of cold weather conditions and remain so till it improves.
So far about 1300 boys and girls from various schools have participated in this unique programme which besides the thrill of trekking also offers an opportunity to the budding trekkers to learn about the geography and culture of the area.
The aim of the series of short treks being organized in cooperation with Surinsar-Mansar Development Authority J&K is to "Catch Them Young" and imbibing in the young minds a spirit of adventure, love for nature and above all a supreme sense of self confidence so as to mould them into bold and responsible future leaders/builders of the country.
