Kashmir-centric leaders fail to manage J&K
Allowed separatists, terrorists to call shots for three decades
12/25/2019 11:09:23 PM

Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 25: The Government of India (GoI) reorganizing J&K seems to have brought situation under control in Kashmir where separatists, terrorists and stone pelters have had a free run during the past 30 years.
A top official of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) recently said that no pellets were fired in September and October this year as there were no protests at all.
An analyst while talking to Early Times said, "Kashmir-centric politicians who ruled in Jammu & Kashmir during the past 70 years need to sit back and think what has changed in the Valley just within the four months. Why there has been no violence and streets were at protests?"
He said, "Past four months have proved it beyond doubt that Kashmir-centric leaders mismanaged Kashmir and promoted the agenda of separatists and Pakistan. Their incompetence allowed the hate mongers to spread hate and instigate the people."
An observer said, "Kashmir remaining peaceful during the past four months has vindicated government's decision to keep the so-called mainstream Kashmir-centric leaders in confinement."
He said that separatists, including Hurriyat Hawk Syed Ali Shah Geelani and Hurriyat Dove Mirwaiz Umar Farooq have been shown their worth. Their funding channels have been choked and their illegal transactions stand exposed. "An in-depth analysis of how the situation has emerged post August 5 proves it beyond doubt that security forces were compelled to use the force against the people who were misled and provoked by the agents of Pak stooges in the Valley. These stooges then used to blow the trumpet about security forces using pellets against the miscreants. It won't be an exaggeration to say that the politics of separatists and other Kashmir-centric leaders during the past three decades has thrived on the dead bodies of people of Kashmir and they have used Kashmiris as cannon fodder to remain relevant," the observer added.
A Defence analyst said, "Pakistan is failing to digest the fact that Kashmir is peaceful and people want to carry on with their daily chores and they want to become a part and parcel of the new India."
He said, "Pakistan is making all the possible attempts to push-in terrorists into Jammu & Kashmir. Since August 5 there have been 900 incidents of ceasefire violations along the Line of Control in Jammu & Kashmir. These violations were committed to push-in terrorists into J&K. Recently Union Minister of State for Home G Kishan Reddy had informed the Parliament that 59 terrorists have infiltrated into the Valley since August 5."
