Protection of Land and Jobs Post Abrogation Article 370
Omkar Dattatray1/8/2020 10:22:57 PM
The historical decision of the century -the scrapping of the much controversial article 370 of the constitution is a great milestone in the independent India's legislative and executive history. This important decision of far-reaching importance is in the interest of the nation's integrity and unity and is a befitting tribute to Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee and his sacrifice for the unity of the nation. The abrogation of the article 370 and 35A was the need of the day given the militancy, fundamentalism and terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir and the annulment of these provisions will prove a death knell to the forces of death and mayhem and this decision is in the best interests of the country and the BJP lead NDA government deserves all praise and kudos for this daring decision. What the congress and other governments could not do for 70 long years was accomplished by the BJP government within few days of NDA2.0 and this is no mean development by any standard. But the people of the erstwhile state are concerned over their rights so for as the job opportunities and land rights are concerned. There is thus genuine concern over the protection of jobs and land rights as the domiciles of the union territory nurse doubts and suspensions about the jobs and land rights. Though the patriotic and right thinking people of the erstwhile have welcomed the historical decision but they have genuine concern about the loss due to the scrapping of this article. Now that the situation has normalized and it becomes the duty of the central and the UT government to make good safeguards for the protection of the job opportunities and the land rights of the inhabitants of the UT. The government must make provisions in the laws so that the job market is secured for the local population and also make it sure that the land of the people is not transferred to the outsiders. Thus the genuine rights and interests regarding the jobs and land be secured for the domiciles and doing this is the duty of the authorities and they should make serious efforts in this direction. It was not for nothing that the Dogra rulers and their KP advisors have provided protection to the domiciles of the erstwhile state and thus the state subject law which was in the interest of the local population and now doing away of the article 370 should not impinge the rights of the local population. Thus the central government is duty bound to address the genuine issues of the people of the UT. Therefore before being too late the powers should make provisions for the protection of the jobs and land rights of the people. People should not be swayed by the false rumors of the selfish political parties and they should see the reason and come to the rescue of the local population. So the local apprehensions and doubts should be cleared so that the people are saved from the uncertainty. Therefore the local people should feel security so for as the job market and the land rights are concerned. Thus what is required is that the locals' job market should be protected at all costs so that the people of the UT are not duped in any way. The union government has made it clear that the job opportunities of the local people will be protected and the land rights as well will be safeguarded in the interest of the local population. But the people should not allow themselves to be swayed by the cunning political parties and they should appreciate that the central government will not do anything that will distance the people of the UT from the mainstream. All said and done it is in the interest of the local people that the genuine issues of the domiciles should be addressed and their interests are protected.
