Krimchi temples lack proper road connectivity

Udhampur Jan 7: Apathy of authorities has resulted in continuance of negligence of the track to reach historic Krimchi temples near about 12 km form Udhampur town here. Of the two tracks leading to the historic temples of Pandavas era, one is not at all fit to use while the other one is too dilapidated even since year ago work was started for make this way but on the till date which is not completed to due land dispute means administration failed to resolved issue of land dispute. "Over many years this is like as it is now and we have seen sharp decline in the number of devotees visiting the historic shrines as it is very risky to use the tracks to reach the temple," A pandit told this reporter. Locals informed that many times district, tourism and roads and building authorities have been informed about the issue but none paid any heed. "This is utter negligence of the authorities at the helm towards the pilgrim spots of Jammu region and we will fight tooth and nail against this negligent attitude of the govt ", an advocate of district court Udhampur said. The Krimchi temples are managed by Archeologically Survey of India which has too not bothered to properly manage the temple and its peripheries, a local informed. "We want tourists to visit the religious place and activities here which may also fetch to the local economy and if is possible then district administration provide good way to temple for tourist or pilgrims , a housewife said.
