Darakhshan organises relief distribution camp

Jammu, Jan 19: Dr Darakhshan Andrabi, Chairperson of Waqf Development Committee of Central Waqf Council (Govt of India) and senior BJP leader today organized a relief distribution camp at Jammu where she distributed woollen blankets among the widows of Jammu district.
This was her first such social service camp organized this year. In 2019, Dr Andrabi held twenty-five such camps throughout J&K state with special emphasis on women and children. Her social welfare team in Jammu includes Rajiv Sharma, Ajay Sharma, Vimal Gupta, Mohan Lal, Kamaljeet Singh, Pratibha Kumari and Dr Surjeet Singh.
She operates such teams in Kashmir as well as Jammu regions.
Speaking on the occasion Dr Darakhshan said that since the beginning of her political carrier, she has been organizing such camps regularly throughout as she believes that social service was the basis of the politics of virtue. Dr Andrabi said that she was not happy with the implementation of the social welfare schemes of govt of India in Jammu & Kashmir.
She said that earlier such schemes were only misused by the ruling classes for benefiting their workers and the deserving poor population was deprived of the benefits of these revolutionary schemes. She said the even now the implementation of these schemes was not satisfactory.
