Early Times Report

RAJOURI, Jan 20: The members of civil society in Rajouri have expressed resentment over the failure of Government for not completing construction of Mini Secretariat in Rajouri in stipulated time-frame.
To redress problems of people in time and making available all senior officers under one roof the concept of Mini Secretariat was introduced by the Government but the same has became a dream for the people awaiting completion of the same since long, sources informed. Due to political rift between previous coalition Government our desire to see all concerned officers under one roof is still a dream, a local resident said. He further claimed that representatives of both previous coalition partners, i.e., BJP and PDP want to take credit for its establishment and for this reason; the location of the Mini Secretariat has been changed several times. Another local asserted that previous Government wanted to establish Mini Secretariat at some central location but BJP at that time wanted to establish the Secretariat at minority dominated area Btala Mang or Muradpur. Senior NC leader, Tafal Hussain said, Columned structures were raised at an approximate cost of Rs 30 lakh. Now untimely halt in ongoing works is a cause of concern for the people of Rajouri as it is a dream project for people living in far-flung areas.
