Cops brutally assaulted youth for objecting misbehaviour, hospitalized

Jammu, Jan 20: The Policemen from Gangyal Police Station in very revengeful manner, Sunday night brutally assaulted and dragged a youth for objecting misbehave with him, the wrath of Khakhi does not end here, they took the youth Police Station keep thrashing until he falls unconscious. However, the latter the youth was hospitalized at GMC Jammu.
Rohit Singh a businessman son of Chaman Singh resident of Birpur, laying on bed no 181 of emergency of Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H), narrated his ordeal while talking to Early Times.
“On Sunday night I called my Labour to pay them some money near Gangyal Petrol Pump. I reached there also and parked my car outside the petrol pump. In the mean a Policeman shouted and me and asked to leave that place”, he said showing injuries marks on his both legs, hand and face, adding that he requested the Policeman to allow to stay there for five minutes.
“But, the Policeman started hurling abuse on me without any reason. Meanwhile, another Policeman reached there. The duo started thrashing me, some more policemen from PCR van rushed there and joined colleague ‘maintaining law and order’ by assaulting an innocent without any reason”, he said, adding that they took him Gangyal Police in PCR’s van and one of the Policemen drove his car to Police Station.
“In Police Station a pack of men several without uniform together beaten by mercilessly, unless I fell, unconscious”, he said, adding, “Late night I finds himself lying on a bed in the hospital.”
Rohit said that a few days back, the same policemen seized documents of his car for alleged wrong parking. “But the court, released documents and it hurt them, and yesterday satisfying their ego tried to crush me”, he said, adding that medical-legal case (MLC) has been registered and now they are consulting their advocate. “We have sufficient evidence to prove my innocence and their (Police) guilt”, he added.
