MVD organises symposium on culmination of Road Safety Week

DODA, Jan 20: On the Last day of 31st National Road Safety Week which was ongoing from 11th of January under the theme of "Sadak Suraksha Jeevan Raksha" across the nation as well as in the district, Motor Vehicle Department (MVD) Doda organised a symposium at community Hall Doda today.
The symposium programme was organised by ARTO Doda Er. Kuldeep Singh, wherein students of various schools participated and expressed their opinions on the theme of road safety. District Developpment Commissioner Doda Dr Sagar D Doifode was the Chief Guest on the occasion while Senior Superintendent of Police Doda, Mumtaz Ahmed was the Guest of honour. Besides Dy. SP Traffic Doda Pankaj, CMO Doda Dr Mushtaq Ahmed, Administrative Officer GMC Doda Mohd Ashraf Wani, MVD Doda officials and others were also present on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion DDC appreciated the MVD Doda for carrying out unique& innovative ideas of mass awareness during the celebration of week long Road Safety program and asked the concerned authorities not to limit this initiative to this week rather asked to keep organising these kind of awareness and safety activities during the whole year so that vision of no more accidents shall be achieved in letter and spirit.
