Vijaypur , Jan 20: J&K Retired Police Pensioners staged protest demonstration against discrimination in pay anomaly, at Vijaypur BDO Block Ground District Samba led by District President Raghubir Singh.
Discrimination with J&K Retired Police in pay anomaly Govt. order No. 229-f 2014 Dated 17-10-2014 regarding pay anomaly. The effect is being prospectively which means from the date of order whereas the effect should have been given from the year 1996 when 5th pay commission was implemented thought the state but only the police department was left quit. Some of them have expired, surviving struggler should get the benefit. In requirement of police department and profession coerces 15% quota should be reserved for the police personal. At least 50000 should be sanctioned at the death of police personal/ retires for performing the last rites of the deceased. District President of retired police personnel, Raghubir Singh, while talking to Media Person, has demanded that soon the Lieutenant Governor's administration should not be given the benefit of retired police personnel by applying to pay Anomaly. They said that if the demand is not met soon, then in the coming days, retired police personnel will take the form of fierce protests and lay siege to the Lieutenant Governor's office on the roads, which will be responsible the government itself.
