JTGC organizes golf tournament

Jammu, Jan 20: Jammu Tawi Golf Course (JTGC) today organized Golf Caddies “Republic Cup -2020” golf tournament at the JTGC Sidhra premises. It is the first tournament of its kind since the inception of JTGC.
As many as 32 Caddies of JTGC participated during the tournament, who were divided into 8 four-balls.
Complimenting the winner, runner up and other players who were adjudged the best in different categories and participants, Secretary JTGC Lal Chand said that the aim of organizing this tournament was to provide a platform to caddies to showcase their talent.
He said that Caddie is a significant part who play a vital role in the game of Golf and its promotion, adding that such tournaments would also be organized in future for providing platform and exposure to the Caddies.
Later, the trophies, mementos and certificates were presented to winner, runner-up and other players who were adjudged best in different categories.
The overall winner trophy was shared by Khaddam Hussain and Muzaffar Hussain, , while as Jatin Sharma and Sohan Lal was adjudged as 1st and 2nd runner-up respectively.
Similarly, Muzaffar Hussain bagged the award for the Straight Drive, while as Longest Drive award and Nearest to the Pin award went to Arshad Ahmad and Mashooq Hussain respectively.
The trophies were also presented to the players who played the best among each four-ball category, these include Khaddam Hussain, Arshad Ahmad, Zakir Hussain, Abid Hussain, Muzaffar Hussain, Asif Hussain, Jatin Sharma, Rohit Gupta and Saddar Din.
The event was sponsored by club management and Members of JTGC, Sidhra.
