1/31/2020 9:51:42 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT

JAMMU, Jan 31: Principal Sessions judge Ramban has rejected the bail application of an accused woman allegedly involved in hatching a conspiracy with her parents to kill her husband by hiring a ‘Supari’ killer about four years back.
The bail petition was filed through advocate B A Rounyal on behalf of accused woman Raksha Devi wife of late Jagdish Singh resident of tehsil Kanga, district Ramban.
According to prosecution story accused woman was married with deceased Jagdish Singh she was having doubts about the character of her husband as he was a person having sufficient source of income and was an employee of Food Corporation of India.
She hatched a conspiracy with her parents and brother to eliminate her husband Jagdish Singh through a ‘Supari’ killer who was was hired by paying Rs 2.5 lakhs.
As per the conspiracy, accused woman, ‘Supari’ killer Kasturi Lal and Chamail Singh entered into the room of Jagdish Singh and killed him with an axe by inflicting a blow of axe on the forehead of the deceased on 16-04-2016.
They put the dead body of the deceased in a Santro car and the vehicle was thrown into a gorge by Raksha Devi as she used to drive the car.
While rejecting the bail application Session Judge Ramban, Kishore Kumar ordered that the petitioner do not deserve the concession of bail at this stage adding that the discretion of granting bail cannot be exercised too loosely particularly in a serious offence.
Keeping into the consideration the arguments of learned counsel for the parties and the accusations leveled against the petitioner, the bail application field by her cannot be allowed at this stage as it is a very serious offence which is non-bailable, the judge observed.
