CBJ produces charge sheet against accused involved in fake work-visas

JAMMU, Feb 26: Crime Branch Jammu (CBJ) produced preliminary charge-sheet against accused Raj Kumar son of Karan Sharma of Kullian Kamala Tehsil Ramgarh Distt Samba, Kailash and Vikas both sons of Ajit Kumar, residents of Harsha Dabbar, Bishnah, District Jammu for luring the complainant on the pretext of providing work-visas for abroad and duping him of hard earned money to the tune of Rs 12 lakh.
A written complaint was lodged by the complainant namely Sat Pal Sharma son of Makhan Lal of W No 13 R.S Pura Jammu alleging therein that his son Rohit Sharma had a desire to work in some foreign country for better future and the accused Raj Kumar was running the business of sending unemployed youth abroad on work permit where he used to lure innocent people by showing them lucrative schemes of getting employment in foreign countries through him and thereby earn Rs 2 to 3 lakh per month for a consideration of Rs 3 to 10 lakh. The complainant also fell into his trap and the said accused assured that he will procure work visa for his son in lieu of some monetary consideration and he, on September 13, 2017 gave to the complainant an employment offer letter under KTC Group and one more letter and Visa on January 8, 2018. The complainant on this arranged money from different sources and paid to the suspect a total amount of Rs 12 lakh for himself and of his relative namely Vinod Kumar, some through cheques and some through cash but later on verification on his own the said visa as provided by the suspect was found to be fake etc.
Taking cognizance into the matter, Crime Branch Jammu registered a Criminal case FIR No.46/2019 U/S 420,465,467,468,471,120-B/RPC. During the investigation documentary/oral evidences were collected and charges of cheating the complainant with sheer malafide/criminal intention after hatching a well-planned criminal conspiracy.
The preliminary charge-sheet was produced today in the Court of City Judge, Jammu. Further investigation in the case is underway.
