Early Times Report

Jammu, Mar 2: Atleast five Sarpanchs, 34 Panchs and 10 other prominent political personalities principally having their previous affiliations with National Conference (NC) and remaining with PDP and INC joined Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at party headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.
The new entrants, hailing from Mendhar, Gholak, Balakot falling under Poonch district, were welcomed to the party fold by former deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta, party J&K General Secretary Ashok Kaul, senior BJP leader Mendhar Zulfqar Pathan and other senior leaders.
Kavinder Gupta, while welcoming new entrants into the party fold said that the parties like National Conference, Congress and PDP took full liberty to enjoy the privileges of the power corridors, but did nothing to empower grass root level democracy.
He said that these parties always tried their best to deprive the far flung areas from the development and modernization so as to keep them as their bonded labour which is always handy at the time of elections. These parties have to answer the big questions of these belts, he said.
Ashok Kaul, claimed that the policies of the BJP leadership led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi are being appreciated by one and all and that is the reason that almost daily, active social and the political personalities are coming forward to embrace the party to serve the masses. Sarpanchs from Gholed Haji Mir Mohd. Former Block President NC, Mehboob Ahmed (NC) and Naib Sarpnachs Taswer Husain Shah (NC) and Mahuldin Butt (NC), Panches Mohd. Imtiaz(NC), Sajid Ali(NC), Ab. Shakoor(NC), Haji Gulam Server(NC), Zahir Begh(PDP), Md. Rasheed(NC), Azmet Hussain(INC), Tasweer Akhter(NC), Md. Shafi(NC) and others joined BJP on the occasion.
