808th Urs of Khujwa Gareeb Nawaz celebrated at Kishtwar

Kishtwar, Mar 2: Like in many parts of the country, 808th Urs of Hazrat Khujwa Mohudin Chisti (RA) of Ajmer Sharif commonly known as Khujwa Gareeb Nawaz was today celebrated at Kishtwar with great enthusiasm and religious fervor. Large number of people participated in special prayers organized by Shah family of Bunastan Kishtwar, beside the religious scholars also throws light on the life of Khujwa Mohudin Chisti (RA) who during his life time preachers and enlightened the people with knowledge of peace, prosperity and brotherhood.
While talking to “Early Times”, Haji Fareed Mustafa Shah President Anjuman Tabligul Islam Jammu province said that his family including his father and uncle are the great flowers of the Khujwa Gareeb Nawaz and use to visit Ajmir Sharif every year to participate in the annual urs. He said that his family in the year 1970 unanimously decided to held the Urs at Kishtwar every year since then likewise they use to celebrate the annual Urs of Hazrat Shah Mohammad Fareed Ud Din Baghdadi (RTA) and Hazrat Shah Mohammad Asrar Ud Din Baghdadi (RTA). He said that people from all strata of life without their religious affiliation participated in the Urs organized by his family at Kishtwar.
He said that the history is the testimony to the preachings of Khujwa Gareeb Nawaz added that he had migrated from Afghanistan to India with only aim to teach and impart the religious education to the poor and downtrodden and enlightened them with knowledge to understand the meaning of life given to him by God and its importance.
