JAMMU, Mar 8: In order to celebrate the essence of women power, gender equality and equal opportunities for women, CA Lalit Kumar Gupta, Chairman of J&K branch of NIRC of ICAI along with other members of managing committee CA Vinay Jamwal, CA Nakul Saraf, CA Arvind Jamwal and CA Shalay Razdan wished its female members, female students & all women across the globe on the occasion of International women's Day.
It has never been easy for women to juggle a thriving career and a happy family life. It still isn't because being a full-time working mom comes with bouts of stress and guilt for not being able to give equal time to work and family.
Today, women Chartered Accountants, constituting 25.83% of the Indian CA fraternity, are successfully contributing to various fields of the profession including accountancy, direct taxes, indirect taxes, company law matters, strategic decision making, international business and taxation, and project finance, among others.
ICAI has always contributed towards women empowerment & in maintaining a work life balance for females in the profession.
There have been success stories of an Auto rickshaw driver's daughter topping the CA examination & a blind lady to have cleared the CA. examination.
Also, there have been ladies such as Padmashree CA Naina Lal Kidwai, (Head HSBC) and CA Sudha Balakrishnan (Executive Director & First CFO of RBI) who have achieved great heights in their respective fields. |
