Biker Brotherhood organized "Be bold for change" rally

JAMMU, Mar 8: Biker Brotherhood Motorcycle Club has organized a Bike Rally in collaboration with Motor Vehicle Department in Jammu to mark International Women's Day. This year the theme of the event was "Each for Equal" which seeks to build a gender balanced world.
The rally started from Gole Market Jammu and was flagged off by Rehana Batul, Director General Social Welfare Department. The Founder of the club Jugraj Singh Ryan was also present there who briefed the participants about the achievements of the club and that it has always played a major role in promoting unexplored areas of J&K through rides. The club has also participated in various events from time to time in collaboration with JK Tourism, Traffic Department, Motor Vehicle Department, Indian Army and some NGOs.
The Bike rally was led by Preeti Choudhary from BBMC; the 1st female biker of J&K. Women with all types of two wheelers participated in the event along with proper riding gears. After covering a stretch, the rally culminated at Govt College for Women Parade followed by a short programme.
Chief Guest of the event Rehana Batul encouraged the women to take a stand for themselves and appreciated the efforts of the club to foster the participation of women in lead roles.
Monisha Singh (Motivational Speaker) delivered a lecture emphasizing the concept of 'Each for Equal' and also laid stress upon acknowledging and appreciating women around us. A total of about 50 bikers and scooty riding girls participated in the event and ensured non ignorance of road safety rules to be followed while riding. Others who were present in the rally include Dr Suman Sharma, Dr Mala Bhasin, Shivali, Ajita and Himani. Biker Brotherhood thanked the Traffic Department, RTO Jammu, and Jammu & Kashmir Police for their congenial support and also for encouraging the club for similar activities with the active involvement of Govt Colleges for women Parade and Govt College for Women Gandhi Nagar Jammu.
