3/9/2020 9:36:32 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Mar 9: Team TNWS Jammu visited the both PHE complex to assess the drinking water supply system in Trikuta Nagar colony Ward 54, sector 5, 6 & 7. But it’s surprising that PHE station located in sector 5 and over head tank in extension Trikuta Nagar are in shamble conditions. The residents of Trikuta Nagar are at the mercy of God. As in charge PHE informed telephonically that the over head tank never clean since last fifteen years.
The surrounding areas of PHE complex is unhygienic & illegally encroached by jugi basti or rented out to the unknown residents to the concerned authorities. We appealed to higher authorities of the PHE department for physical surprise tour the said complexes. Team TNWS Jammu also check the street Lights installed by JMC Jammu in Trikuta Nagar colony and observed that the work is not upto the satisfaction of the residents with respect to Provided switches to switch off and on the street Lights are broken in some poles and during rains an accident can take place in certain cases.
The telephone wires lying unused have been used for power supply which is another area for an accident and can even results in death of the person operating the street Lights. No, work has Sofar been started for construction of PDD receiveing station on the Land already earmarked by the all stackholder ie JDA, PDD, & PDC. This burning issue required immediate attention in view of the approaching summer.
The present supply position especially in Ward 54 of Trikuta Nagar colony Jammu is deportable. Many complaints have poured in our society office regarding High voltage supply in their houses resulting the damage of costly gadgets.
