As Food Safety Officer sleeps, Kishtwar hotels served unhygienic foods

KISHTWAR, Mar 9: With governments across the world are busy in controlling the deadly Corona Virus from spreading and also issued various advisories to keep the atmosphere in and around your homes as well as around the societies as unhygienic conditions are considered as main reason for the evolving of deadly Corona Virus, the hotel and Dabas across the Kishtwar town and its peripheral areas are serving unhygienic foods which could be a potential threat to the break of another epidemic in Kishtwar District.
As per the details available with Early Times, majority of the hotels, restaurants and Dabas in Kishtwar District are in poor state since their owners are not taking the cleanliness in food itineraries as a result of which the health of the people visiting these places were at risk.
The people inform the Early Times, that the concern Food Safety Officer who is responsible for regular checking of hotels, restaurants, Dabas, Tea Stalls, food itineraries beside also check the quality of the various food items sold in the open market, but the said Food Safety Officer confined herself to few areas while at the same time ignore the checking and inspections of the hotels, restaurants, Dabas and other food itineraries- thus putting the lives of common people at risk.
The people inform that many non veg foods served in restaurants and Dabas are unhygienic and uncooked since they don't have any fear from the authorities as they never or hardly conduct the surprise inspection of the kitchens at these food store that hosts high level infection.
In some restaurants and food itineraries stores, the helpers too did not follow the required procedures while serving the food items to its customers.
"There is also variations in the rates at different hotels, restaurants, Dabas - some are also clearly violating the safety norms- and same goes unchecked" inform a customers added that administration too hardly acts in terms of checking the safety norms at hotels, restaurants, Dabas and food itineraries located in highly densely populated areas of Kishtwar town.
Similar reports also received from many areas of adjoining Districts where Food Safety norms are being openly violated at the cost of safety of common customers.
