DDC reviews data purification, de-duplication exercise

RAMBAN, Mar 11: District Development Commissioner, Ramban, Nazim Zai Khan today reviewed the implementation of National Food Security Act (NFSA) 2013 here at a joint meeting of District and Tehsil Level Committee (DLC) members.
ADDC Nawab Din, ACR, Dhrinder Sharma, ACD, Zameer Ahmed Rishu, District Social Welfare Officer, Waheed- ur-Rehman, AD Food Civil Supplies & Consumers Affairs (FCS&CA), Tehsildars, BDOs, TSOs besides officers of Revenue, FCS&CA and other departments attended the meeting.
DDC impressed upon the officers of FCS&CA and other concerned departments to accelerate the data purification and de-duplication exercise to prepare fool proof and error free detailed date backup to implement schemes effectively in the district.
DDC also reviewed status of beneficiaries under NFSA in the district Ramban and those excluded from the scheme as per the income criteria besides reports of verification and necessary correction in bulk authentication, number of beneficiaries of registered under same Ration Card (RC) or Aadhaar number, interstate duplication, silent RCs, AAY RC’s with more than 10 or less than 3 members and various other points pertaining to scheme.
DDC directed the concerned officer including AD, Tehsildars and TSOs to verify the beneficiaries and keep vigilance on them to check the entries and supervise the working of dealers. Further, the DDC set deadline for verification of the beneficiaries covered under the scheme.
He directed the officers to activate the Village Vigilance Committees (VVC) had constituted in every fair price shop (FPS) for the purpose and the meeting of all VVCs is scheduled for 17th March at 11 AM.
Officers were also directed to conduct Tehsil and Village Level committee meetings regularly in their respective jurisdictions to ensure purification and digitization of data.
