Dy Mayor chairs "6th Housing for All" Standing Committee meet

JAMMU, Mar 14: Adv. Purnima Sharma, Deputy Mayor, JMC Chairs the "6th Housing for All" Standing Committee and "6th Skill Upgradation and Self Employment" Standing Committee meetings on 14 March, 2020 in the conference hall of JMC.
Members of the "Housing for All" standing committee along with Sudhir Bali, ACR JMC, Tarseem Lal Thappa, JCW JMC, Mohit Mahajan, XEN (C) JMC, Dr. Shamim Health Officer JMC, Representatives from JUDA, J&K Housing Board and other members of the committee were also present. During the meeting, members of the standing committee raised many issues for which directions were given by the Deputy Mayor to the concerned Officials and departments on the spot. Some of the issues discussed are as follows: - Meeting started with the review of the issues raised in the previous meetings and what action has been taken until now. Discussions on IHL project, HFA Schemes, schemes for promoting various skills. Under IHL many issues were raised by the Councilors. Many councilors brought up the issue that till date no toilet under the IHL Scheme have been constructed in their ward. In this regard, Deputy Mayor issued directions to the concerned officials to complete all the pending cases and in reply to this, the concerned official stated that the pending cases will be started in the financial year April, 2020- March 2021. Narrotam Sharma, councilor Ward No. 3, raised the issue on whether the State Subject(PRC) of the beneficiary for applying for the HFA scheme is needed or not as J&K earlier was a State but now it's an UT where State Subject is not needed. For this, Representatives of J&K Housing Board replied that as per the directions of the Deputy Mayor in the previous meeting, the issue has already been taken up with the Government.
