Bribery Case of Court grants bail to ASI

Jammu, Mar 19: The Principal Session Judge Doda with powers of Special Judge anti corruption Z. A. Raza granted bail to ASI Mohd Subhaan in a bribery case after his video demanding and accepting the bribe was caught in a video.
As per the details available with Early Times, based on a video which gone viral on social media, whatsapp and in other social networking sites in which ASI Ab Subhaan was demanding some money from a driver in an official capacity, police of Police station Kishtwar lodged an FIR 38/2020 U/sec 161 IPC and 7 Prevention of Corruption Act on dated 06/03/2020 against him and accordingly arrested him beside placed him under suspension.
After FIR being lodged investigation of this particular case had been handover to Dy. SP Dar Iftikhar Ahmed. Accused Abdul Subhaan Moved an application for grant of bail in case FIR No 38/2020 through his counsel Advocate Shaik Saroori before the Court of Anti corruption Court Doda.
After the application had been filed by the counsel of the applicant Advocate Shaik Saroori, Report had been called by the court and consequently On 16th day of March the application had been fixed for arguments. On Dated 16/03/2020 after going through the contents of the case and heard the arguments by the counsel Advocate Shaik Saroori at length, the court reserved the bail matter for orders on 18th day of March 2020.
Accordingly Special Judge Anti corruption Court Zubair Ahmed Raza granted bail to ASI Abdul subjected to the fulfillment of the surety bond of Rs 1 lac for the satisfaction of court.
