3/19/2020 10:17:12 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 19: Coming down heavily on opposition for neither helping the people of Jammu and Kashmir in any manner nor spending the public money judiciously, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) J&K Executive Member Raman Suri today said that free health insurance scheme on the pattern of Ayushman Bharat will prove to be a boon for the residents of J&K UT. He said that this will liberate people of mental blockade and make them work for the family, society and nation fearlessly.
Raman Suri said that all residents of J&K, including government employees and pensioners, have been included in this Rs 5 lakh free Health Insurance. Appreciating Administrative Council for free of cost Universal Health Coverage to all 1.25 crore residents of the Union Territory, Raman Suri said, this will come as a big relief for the people. Raman Suri said that opposition leaders had been misusing public money but this is for sure that such a magnanimous decision by this government has been taken for judicious use of funds. He said that cashless services and no restrictions on family size are another boon of this health insurance scheme. Jammu and Kashmir, being the remotest Northern state, lacked health care facilities and this scheme has come as a blessing in disguise. Treatment for oncology, cardiology and nephrology related illness will be covered from Day one, including high-end diagnostic procedures during hospitalization. The beneficiaries shall also be eligible for coverage of 3 days pre-hospitalization and 15 days post-hospitalization expenses. Raman Suri added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his team besides Administrative Council of the UT of J&K, all have truly accessed the hardships of people and reached on a consensus for providing such facilities to them, which are aimed at liberating them of all worries. He said such people-friendly decisions are going to empower commoners and make them work for the nation in a much better manner.
