SAMBA, MARCH 20: In order to review the various precautionary measures to contain COVID-19, District Development Commissioner, Samba Rohit Khajuria today held a meeting with the representatives of prominent industrialists of the district.
DDC reviewed the precautionary measures taken by the industrialists to conduct sanitisation of every visitor and employee at the entry gates, social distancing, thermal screening and reporting of suspected employees immediately to the medical health care authorities. DC directed the district officers to launch a sustained awareness campaign through all available means so that there is no panic and people get educated about precautions and preventive measures.
DDC laid emphasis on monitoring the situation on daily basis. All the contacts of suspected cases are being tested, quarantined and kept under close surveillance. Anganwadi centres, Schools, Colleges, University, training centres in the district have been closed till further orders.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Vikas Gupta, General Manager, DIC Sansar Chand, SDM Vijaypur, CP Kotwal, Senior Manager of Industrial Estate and representatives of prominent Industries including Cadila pharmaceutical, Insecticidal India Ltd, Kandhari Breverages, Neelkamal Ltd, Ind-Swift Ltd, HPM, Berger Paints and others. |
