COVID-19: Div Com reviews stock, supply position of essential commodities

JAMMU, Mar 26: Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Sanjeev Verma today convened a meeting of officers of various departments engaged under essential services and reviewed stock position of essentials and supply in districts of the division in view prevailing situation.
The meeting was attended by IGP Jammu, Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Commissioner JMC, Additional Commissioner, Director FCS&CA, besides senior functionaries of Health, PHE, PDD, JKRTC, ULB, Oil Companies and other concerned officers.
The meeting was informed that adequate stock of ration, medicines and fuel is available in the districts while supply of essentials is regular.
The Divisional Commissioner directed the concerned officers to ensure smooth and hassle-free movement of essential commodity trucks so that consumers do not face any inconvenience during lock down.
The meeting was also discussed various important issues including issuance of passes to labour, staff engaged with supply of essentials.
It was informed that there is requirement of passes to labour engaged with pharmaceutical industry, retailers, wholesalers, petrol pumps, chemists, pharmacists and other engaged with essentials services.
The Div Com asked DC Jammu to issue passes to the employees, labour and engaged with essential services.
