3/26/2020 10:32:37 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 26: Youth Congress, J&K, extended whole hearted support to the Government of India to eradicate coronavirus from the country. In this connection, Uday Chib, President J&K Youth Congress on Thursday initiated sanitation and disinfectant spray in the Paloura area of Ward No 60 of Jammu city in view of containing the effect of this viral outbreak. He appealed to the people of Jammu and Kashmir to take all precautionary measures to stop spread of COVID-19. He also urged to the general public not to get panic besides maintaining social distancing. Uday Chib urged administration to immediately restore 4G mobile internet connectivity in J&K to its optimal level so that people under lockdown may not face any kind of difficulty or delay in getting updated information on coronavirus or any statutory changes, which are recently being made quite often and are of vital importance as far as eliminating threat of COVID-19 spread is concerned. He said that restoring 4G internet is the prime necessity at present, as people need to get connected for information on coronavirus contagion, official circulars and orders, world scenario, study of children, medical aid, treatment and precautions besides maintaining contact with families. He also said that as every one is staying at home to fight against the disease, Students and working class youth are very much depended on E-learning , online coaching and online conferences but because of 2G services in J&K youth of J&K are depriving of it therefore there is urgent need to restore 4G internet in J&K. Uday mentioned that on March 13, 2020, Rahul Gandhi, former Congress President had already warned the Narendra Modi Government of dire consequences of COVID-19 but they had not took it seriously. If that time, PM Modi had announced lockdown than the scenario is something else, he said. Chib asserted that this is not the right time to play blame game. "I appealed to the people of the country to get united leaving aside the party politics and take all appropriate preventive measures including social distancing. Fighting corona is top priority for human race as one and all steps needed should be taken in the direction," he added.
