DLSA Udhampur extends helping hand to stranded students at Nagpur

Udhampur, Apr 15: In a view of ongoing lockdown imposed around the country due to COVID-19 the District Legal Services Udhampur proves a beacon of hope for number of Udhampur bases students standard at Nagpur due to lockdown .
After going through the news published in local English day here regarding 15 Udhampur students trapped at Nagpur due to ongoing Lock Down due to covid 19 , Chairman District Legal Services Authority Chairman M.L Manhas and Secretary DLS A , Sandeep Kour swung into action and initiated their efforts to mitigate the sufferings of Trapped students of Udhampur . DLSA today made contact with Sunil Singh from LattiUdhampur and Shabil Singh of Basantgarh area who are presently doing Physical education (BPED ) Course along with other students at Nagpur . Both the students who are presently trapped at Sakoli area of Nagpur narrated their problems arisen due to lock down .They said that they could not go to their homes as one of their Annual paper couldnot be taken due to lock down and were struck here . They added that they were presently facing starvation like situation as no one was helping them here. Meanwhile Secretary DLSA Udhampur contacted DLSA Nagpur and with local administration through phone and took up matter of trapped Udhampur based students who are presently facing problem . Secreatry DLSA Nagpur and Tehsildar presently visited to students and assured their full help to them later and also made arrangement for their meals. Trapped students from Sakoli Nagpur thanked Udhampur DLSA for their timely help. At least 15 students of BPEd and MPEd from Udhampur area who were trapped in Nagpur have pleaded for help to the J&K UT Administration through distress phone call to a local newspaper here.
