360 complete successful administrative, home quarantine period in Kishtwar
485 persons still under quarantine, 203 removed from surveillance

JAMMU, Apr 15: In order to prevent the spread of deadly Corona Virus, District administration in Kishtwar District has put several people under quarantine which include Administrative and Home Quarantine as well as under surveillance.
As of now 485 persons are still under quarantine and under surveillance at various units spread over District while at the same time over 360 persons have so far completed the administrative quarantine period of 14 days successfully in last over three weeks and were sent back to their respective homes where they will continue to remain under surveillance for next 14 days. 203 persons who had completed 14 days of Quarantine and 14 days of surveillance has been removed from tracking system since they have completed 28 days Quarantine cum surveillance period.
As per the details available with Early Times, 246 persons are under quarantine in Kishtwar Medical block which include 133 persons under active surveillance and 68 persons under administrative quarantine and 38 persons under home quarantine. There are only 7 persons under hospital quarantine as of today.
In Medical block Chatroo, 38 persons are under home quarantine, 68 under active surveillance and 7 persons under administrative quarantine.
In Medical block Paddar, 5 persons are under home quarantine, 65 persons are under active surveillance and 1 persons under administrative quarantine while in Medical block Dachhan, 3 persons are under home quarantine, 79 persons under active surveillance while no person is under administrative surveillance or under hospital quarantine.
Among the 485 persons, only 55 persons as compared to 154 persons 10 day ago are under home quarantine, while 303 persons, 345 persons are under active surveillance and against 36 persons, 76 persons are under administrative surveillance while only 7 persons that too in Kishtwar Medical block are under hospital quarantine.
All the persons under administrative quarantine were kept at ANMT School Kishtwar, Sarai District Hospital Kishtwar, Kishtwar Hotel, Gujjar and Bakerwal Hostel Chatroo, Himalayan Cultural Society Paddar, Old Hospital and Bursar House NHPC.
Speaking to Early Times, Dy CMO Kishtwar Dr Mohammad Fareed Butt informed that 203 persons, mostly the students, who had returned from Bangladesh successfully completed the quarantine period cum surveillance and were allowed to go home with the instructions to maintain social distancing beside not to roam outside till the lockdown period was over as a precautionary measure. He said that 360 persons have completed Home quarantine of 14 days will continue to remain under surveillance for next 14 days added that 485 persons under quarantine, surveillance and administrative quarantine are being taken care off by the administration and the health department.
He said that all guidelines were followed in all instant cases and requested the people not to panic.
Dy CMO also cleared the confusion over mentioning of one positive case recovered from COVID-19 figure in Kishtwar. He said that one lady who is resident of Kishtwar had tested positive at Jammu and had never visited Kishtwar.
