Well equipped Quarantine centers, Health institutions functional in district: DC Ramban

RAMBAN, Apr 15: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ramban, Nazim Zai Khan today informed that district administration Ramban has established well equipped 250 bedded quarantine centers at Dhalwas area of district besides converting near 30 hotels into quarantine centers at Ramban, Banihal, Gool and Batote to facilitate people who are identified for administrative quarantine. He informed that in the district total 1082 bed quarantine facility has been created and administration is also establishing Wellness Centers at Kanthi, Dharmond, Higher Secondary School, Ramban besides other identified locations across the district to create 500 bed facility for patients with Severe Acute Respiratory Infection (SARI) for their further treatment and medical tests in isolation. All the facilities including sanitation, medical treatment, and healthy food besides other facilities necessary for comfortable stay there have been ensured by the administration, he added.
Taking a prompt action keeping in view unprecedented prevailing situation and increasing of Coronavirous positive cases across the country as well as in other districts of UT of Jammu and Kashmir, district administration has upgraded the Health facilities in all the Health Institutions of district Ramban.
He further said that Administration has created 50 bedded special wards and installed two new Ventilators in District Hospital (DH) Ramban to tackle any emergency related to COVID-19 besides providing each of them 1000 numbers N-95 masks and sanitizers in addition to 15 numbers of PPE kits to ensure safety of Doctors, paramedical staff as well as frontline workers deployed in COVID-19 duty. Besides this a well equipped 25 bedded special health centre has also been established in Trauma Hospital, Ramban and provided 25 bed facility at Sub District Hospital, Gool by the administration to meet emergency situation. It was informed that district administration is all set to deal with the spread of COVID-19 and have sufficient stock of emergency medical material including Beds, Bedding, dustbins, masks, and sanitizers besides drugs and equipments being utilized to treat COVID-19 patients. As a move to scale up activities for combating Corona virus outbreak administration has provided Spray Machines, Fogging Machines besides prescribing chemicals being used for disinfecting hospitals, offices, towns public places as well as other localities.

To reach out distressed, destitute families and other needy people administration has also provided sufficient quantity of ration items including Rice, Atta, Pulses, Oil, Potato, Salt, Onion, Turmeric and besides other daily use items to civil QRT Ramban for distribution among needy people across the district.
He appealed people to cooperate with the administration adding that administration is making all efforts to ensure all support to people including delivery of essential commodities at their door steps. He lauded the PRIs and other volunteers for helping the district administration in theses trying times.
