Theft case solved; thieves arrested, stolen property recovered

Banihal, Apr 23: Ramban Police today claimed that it had solved a theft case by arresting the culprits involved in the theft— followed by the recovery of the stolen property.
As per the details available with Early Times, one Parvaiz Ahmed Malik S/O Mohammad Ayoub Malik R/O Krawa Tehsil Banihal reported at Police Station Banihal that during the intervening night of 11/12 April 2020, some thieves entered into his house and stole away Copper Utensils.
In this regard, a case FIR No 67/2020 U/S 457/380 IPC got registered at PS Banihal and investigation entrusted to Sub Inspector Zaheer Iqbal of PS Banihal.
During the course of investigation, some suspects were rounded up by the IO and on their disclosure, two persons namely Ahsan ul Haq S/O Bashir Ahmed and Ghulam Nabi Akhoon S/O Mohammad Yaqoob Akhoon, both residents of Krawa Tehsil Banihal, were arrested from and on their confession the stolen items were recovered from Krawa. The accused as per police are habitual thieves and some more recoveries are expected in coming days.
The arrest and recovery has been made by a Police party headed by Sub Inspector Zaheer Iqbal Investigation Officer (IO) under the supervision of Inspector Aabid Bhukhari Shah SHO PS Banihal, Dy. SP Ashish Gupta SDPO Banihal, Sanjay Parihar Addational SP Ramban and under the overall Supervision of Haseeb-ur Rehman SSP Ramban.
